Morris Iemma, NSW Premier, attended the conference and called on generous donations for snow disaster stricken people. |
The snow, the heaviest in decades in many places, had been falling in China's southern regions for more than 3 weeks in January 2008. It had caused deaths, structural collapses, blackouts, accidents, transport problems and livestock and crop destruction.
on 16 Feburary 20008, ACPPRC held a fundraising lunch at Goldern Centenary restauarant for further raising fund.
About ￥2000,000 has been raised and donated to Guizhou for 10 schools reconstruction in snow disaster-stricken area. |
