2015 Yuhu Giving Day

Soon after being elected as President of the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, Mr. Xiangmo Huang sponsored the YUHU 2015 “Giving Day” in Sydney, during which he donated $743,000 Australian dollars to eight Australian organisations. The donation will be used towards a wide area encompassing medical research, education and community services.

 

The main beneficiary of the “Giving Day” was the Children Medical Research Institute (CMRI) based at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital. Mr Xiangmo Huang was appointed as the Chairman of the Outstanding Research Fund of CMRI.

Other beneficiaries included the “Bear Cottage” of the Children Hospice Care receiving $100,000 Australian dollars and Eastwood Public Primary School, among others.

David Coleman Federal MP, representing the Australian Prime Minister, the Hon. Andrew Robb, Federal Minister of Trade and Investment Senator Kim Carr representing the Federal Opposition Leader, the Hon. Victor Dominello MP representing the New South Wales Premier and Peter Primrose representing the NSW Opposition leader also went up to present at the “Giving Day” event, in praise of Mr. Huang and his YUHU GROUP for the contributions to the Australian society and the economy. They all acknowledged the outstanding achievements Mr. Huang made towards philanthropy.

Mr Coleman also read out the congratulatory message from Prime Minister Tony Abbott. In his message, Tony Abbott spoke highly of Mr. Huang and his YUHU Group for their contributions and generous funding support to various Australian communities and organisations.

Representatives of the beneficiary institutions, including CMRI CEO Roger Ruddock, also expressed their sincere gratitude for President Xiangmo Huang’s generosity, foresight and for his part in building a multicultural and harmonious society.
