Folk Song Vocal Quartet in Commemoration of 100 Anniversary of China’s 1911 Revolution
On 9 October 2011, the “Folk Song Vocal Quartet in Commemoration of 100 Anniversary of China’s 1911 Revolution” by Chinese “Eight Eyes” Singing group was held at Sydney Opera House, organised by The Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC).
 

China’s 1911 Revolution is also known as Xinhai Revolution. The Xinhai Revolution was led by Dr Sun Yat-sen to overthrow the China’s ruling Qing Dynasty, put an end to the centuries-old feudal system in China and opened the door of democracy, is an important milestone in Chinese history. To promote the spirit of Xinhai Revolution which revitalized the Chinese nation, people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait were called on to make joint efforts in unifying and rejuvenating China.

The “Eight Eyes” Singing Group was including Song Lu, Guoji, Junguang, Wenjie, and Xu Le. They started the group out of their love and passion for music, and henceforth generated a sense of affection that transcends brotherhood. Using a relaxing and lively way of performing and adopting famous melodies, they sang songs that were luxuriant, deep, happy or romantic, presenting immense artistic charm. The “Eight Eyes” Singing Group earned people’s preferences and recognition from all walks of life because of their understandable yet sophisticated art,Designer Watches artistic but popular songs, combination of folk and world music, and performances of wonderful songs.

 
 

The concert was a great success. The musical repertoire mixing old and new, as well as Chinese and Western music, worked very well. More than 2100 audience enjoyed the excellent performance on the evening.
