Mr. Hung Ly OAM JP (President: 12 August 2018 -- Current)

Mr. Hung Ly was elected to be the President of ACPPRC's Eighth Executive Committee on 12 August 2018. He has also been the president of the Australian Chinese Teochew Association since 2004.

Mr. Ly came to Australia as a Chinese-Vietnamese refugee in 1979. Now he is a successful businessman. He has been working tirelessly to repay society through philanthropic acts and by generally improving the lives of others.

Mr. Hung Ly was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding services to the Australian Chinese community on the Australia Day honours list in 2016.

Prof. Qun Shao (President: 25 November 2017 -- 12 August 2018)

Prof. Qun Shao succeeded Prof. Xiangmo Huang as the President of ACPPRC on 25 November 2017.

Prof. Shao has served as ACPPRC's Secretary General since 2000. He was appointed executive president in 2014.

Prof. Xiangmo Huang (President: 18 November 2014 -- 25 November 2017)

Prof. Xiangmo Huang has been heavily involved for many years in donating to charitable projects and organisations in the fields of culture, education, security, religion, social welfare and disaster relief. He is widely recognised for his dedication to the promotion of friendly relationships between Australia and China.

He has devoted a great deal of efforts to facilitating the exchanges and cooperation between Australia and China. To that end, he sponsored the Australia-China Relations Institute, which serves to showcase his staunch support for the long-term development of the Australia-China relations. Through his generous support and efforts, Mr. Xiangmo Huang has also made outstanding contributions to creating harmony and binding the Chinese ethnic groups in Australia into a cohesive force never before witnessed.

Dr. William Chiu JP (Chairman: 30 July 2000 -- 17 November 2014)

Dr. William Chiu JP, born in Malaysia and educated in Australia and New Zealand, is the holder of two masters degrees in Chemistry and Commerce, and an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by UWS.

He is the Founding Chairman of the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC). He is also the State Patron of the NSW branch of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC). He has been involved in many fields of activities including trade, culture, education, health, humanitarian services, religion and research.

Dr. William Chiu is widely recognised for his continuous service in many organisations in the NSW Chinese community and his dedication to the promotion of friendly relationships between Australia and China. He is also a staunch supporter and promoter for world peace and China's peaceful reunification.

In 2010, he received the NSW Premier’s Chinese Community Service award – the Quong Tart Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Service for providing outstanding volunteer service over an extended period of time.

Dr. Chiu passed away on Tuesday the 25th of May 2015.
